American Basil pesto is made from locally grown organic sweet Italian basil. Their basil is meticulously picked and defoliated by hand to ensure that every leaf is “perfectto.” They use 100% pure olive oil, lactose-free Pecorino Romano cheese, and sea salt imported from Italy. They also use fresh California garlic and walnuts. The pesto comes in an easy-to-use, airtight pouch that has a refrigerated shelf-life up to 6 months, even after opening and are stored frozen. They don’t use any fillers or extenders and no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives.
American Basil pesto is concentrated so a little goes a long way! Each 8 oz package can be used on 2 to 2 1/2 lbs of pasta. It is also great on any type of meat, vegetable, grain, tofu or as a condiment to enhance the flavor on sandwiches, wraps, eggs, soups, meatloaf, stews, casseroles and salads. As a salad dressing, simply mix a little balsamic vinegar with pesto and voila!
