How to Make Salad Dressing from Scratch

This is an easy foundation for you to be able to always make the tastiest dressing. The basic vinaigrette is made up of 1 part vinegar for every 3 parts oil.

  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp vinegar Balsamic for sweet. Apple cider for tangy. Red wine for tomatoes, bell peppers olives. Lemon for kale, bold salads
  • 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard for flavor & creaminess
  • 1/2 tsp maple syrup or honey for sweetness & balance
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • salt & pepper to taste


  • Make it in the bottom of your salad bowl.
    Add all the ingredients & whisk until creamy.
  • Add the salad ingredients on top. Don't toss until ready to serve.
