Mark Twain described the cherimoya as, “the most delicious fruit known to man” Cherimoyas are very sweet and tropical tasting, A combination of flavor that has led some to compare it to a creamy, custardy pear. SUPER SWEET!
~Cherimoya is about the size of a grapefruit, oval-shaped, and green. Its scaly skin texture makes it somewhat resemble an artichoke. Inside, the flesh is soft, white, creamy, juicy, and SWEET with several dark brown seeds that must be removed and are not edible.
You can tell they are ripe when the flesh begins to slightly brown in color (vs being completely green). The skin will also give way, like an avocado, and the area around the stem should open up a bit and sink in. The fruit will easily pull apart when ripe and then you can eat it by removing the seeds and scooping out the flesh with a spoon.
There are about 5 cherimoyas in this box. They will be sent green and hard. Net weight 5-6 lbs.
