Daikon Radishes – 1lb

Description

Daikon radishes are white and come with more of a longer root, resembling a carrot in shape and size.  These radishes are delicious grated with a sprinkle of soy sauce and served as a condiment or cooked and added to your favorite soup or stew.

Raw daikon has a sweet and lightly spicy flavor–it’s generally milder than red radish, which is more peppery. When cooked, daikon becomes more mellow and sweet, similar to a turnip. Daikon greens are peppery with a pungent flavor that also mellows when lightly cooked. The greens can also be eaten raw in salads.
